Do you think you have transferable skills but not sure how to make the move?
Do you know which art team and job role you are best suited to?Â
GETTING STARTED IN THE ART DEPARTMENT offers you the opportunity to get a paid Art Department placement on a HETV Drama.Â
The programme will start with an introduction webinar and then run as a modular, online training course for 30 people looking to work in any of the HETV Art Department teams. We will be looking at:Â
the different teams in the Art Department
the different job roles in the key teams
working in Set Decorating and Props
working in the art department and graphics
what you can expect on a large scale high end tv production – and what will be expected of you
what to put in a CV and a portfolio
how to manage a freelance career and go about finding work.Â
On completion of the training, 16 participants will be awarded funded placements on high-end television productions for up to 10 weeks.Â
Who Can Apply: Anyone wanting to start a career in the Art Department in high-end television. Candidates can be career changers or new to the industry.Â

Training Dates:
Zoom sessions - Tuesday mornings 14th, 21st, 28th November, 5th December.
You must confirm you can attend all sessions.
Networking Event in London on Tuesday 12th December 10am-12pm – travel and accommodation bursaries will be available for those outside the M25 or with limited income.Â
