This small, informative Zoom workshop offers essential guidance for anyone looking to get started in the Art Department teams on feature films and HETV dramas.

We will be looking at:

• an overview of the Art, Set Decorating and Props Departments ; how they collaborate effectively and how design is used to tell the story

• the roles and responsibilities of the teams – who does what and the skills that are required for each job

• CVs and Portfolios - guidance on how to present your skills and experience in an industry expected way; who to call and what to say to be considered by the production

• Guidance on how to be a successful assistant and get asked back

• Networking - how to build an effective database of contacts and how to use it successfully

  
  

SUITABLE FOR

• Anyone looking for their first role in the Art, Set Decorating or Props departments

• Anyone who has recently got onto a production and looking for more background information

Please note - the focus of this session is the UK large scale feature film and HETV industries.

The room will stay open after the session to give everyone a chance put their networking skills to use!
