Senior Art Director Rod McLean will lead this session on how to read a technical drawing, a key element for working in all the Art Department, Props, Construction and Set Decorating teams – you may not have to create the drawings, but knowing what to look for and finding the relevant information is an important part of the job. THINGS WE HAVE BEEN ENJOYING
We recently came across the People’s Graphic Design Collective – a great resource for all things graphic inspiration. It’s a crowd sourced, virtual collective where people can upload research, projects and processes.
Have you been following Den stora älgvandringen – or The Great Moose Migration? This captivating example of ‘slow tv’ is a real tonic when work is hectic or you’re feeling overwhelmed by the endless manic 30 second videos filling your feeds. Last year, 9 million people tuned in to watch the moose travel to their summer pastures in Northern Sweden. You may not see much, but the scenery is gorgeous and you will be captivated by the meditative watching. Streaming 24 hours until early May.
Thank you to all the TP members and mentees who shared photos of Easter walks in the bluebells on Insta at the weekend. Definitely one of the best parts of Spring. Feel free to share more over the next few weeks – perfect vicarious viewing if you’re stuck inside and can’t get out!
