ART DIRECTING FOR FILM USING SKETCHUP

This session was supported by ScreenSkills using National Lottery funds awarded by the BFI as part of the Future Film Skills programme. It was tailored for a small group of practitioners who are considering moving into the Art Directing role.

This programme was for art department in film practitioners looking to enhance their knowledge and skills of SketchUp. 2 evening sessions were led by Art Director Luke Whitelock (The Batman (2022), No Time to Die, Cruella) who talked about the role of the Art Director for Film, discussed the latest additions to his SketchUp tutorial and showed examples of his work using this software. Project based tasks were set between the Sessions to allow for guidance and input on how to use these tools effectively.
