Patrick is one of the industry’s leading Production Designers with nearly 30 years of working in the Art Department on a wide range of feature films and tv dramas. His credits include One Day, The Swimmers, Four Weddings and a Funeral (2019) and Yesterday.

Put the effort in now to get ready for work – production levels are picking up; make the most of having time to get prepared so you are ready to go when the call comes. Sort your kit, service your car, go to the dentist, freeze batch cooked food. It really does make a difference.

Awards season is well and truly up on us and the BAFTAS certainly showed that cinema is thriving. Great to see so much UK talent celebrated at all of the award shows so far – long may it continue!
BSC Expo – it’s always good to see what’s new in camera and a reminder of the challenges and issues on set departments face. One panel focused on working with the art department, with DPs, operators and gaffers acknowledging the enormous input of the design teams. Always good to hear departments acknowledging and celebrating other departments work.
Knoops hot chocolate. Late to this because so few hot chocolates are actually any good. But these! If you like hot chocolate, this is well worth the excursion! Especially during this weather.
